Israel announced that they would not provide arms to Ukraine. However, they will continue to provide medical and humanitarian assistance.
This was announced by Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz. According to him, he is responsible for their weapons.
Israel refuses to transfer weapons to Ukraine
I want to make it clear that we do not sell weapons to Ukraine. I am the Minister of Defense and I am responsible for the export of Israeli weapons, – said Gantz.
Also, Israeli opposition leader and former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu opposed the supply of weapons to Ukraine. He noted that the weapons “may fall into the hands of Iran.”
“On the issue of weapons, there is always the possibility – and this has happened again and again – that the weapons we have supplied will end up in Iranian hands and be used against us,” the politician said.
What kind of military assistance Ukraine needs from Israel
Military expert Alexander Musienko said that Ukraine needs information about Iranian military-industrial complex facilities, as well as information about their capacities, location and production capabilities.
In addition, we also need information from Israel about their experience in combating Iranian drones, missiles or other weapons.
Musienko noted that Israel definitely has anti-drone technology , allowing to interrupt drone signals from the satellite.
Recall that Ukraine decided to send an official note to the Israeli government with a request to immediately provide air defense systems. Kyiv wants to start cooperation on obtaining appropriate technologies for Ukraine.
