A ceasefire and a ceasefire have been declared between Israel and Hezbollah.
US President Joe Biden announced this on his X (former Twitter) page.
Ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon
— Today I have good news from the Middle East. I spoke with the prime ministers of Lebanon and Israel. And I am pleased to announce that they have accepted the United States' offer to end the devastating conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, — the American leader said.
According to Reuters, President Biden also gave a speech in which he announced that the ceasefire will begin tomorrow, Wednesday, November 27, at 04:00 local time.

— This agreement provides for a permanent ceasefire. We insist that the remnants of Hezbollah and other terrorist organizations will not have the right to threaten the security of Israel, — Biden added.
According to the agreement, Israel must begin a gradual withdrawal of troops from Lebanon within 60 days.
In parallel with this, residents of both sides of the conflict will be able to safely return to their homes and begin rebuilding houses, schools, farms and businesses.
Not only the United States, but also France will work to support the implementation of the agreements by the parties. At the same time, US troops will not be deployed in southern Lebanon. Instead, the United States and other Western countries will help implement the ceasefire agreement.
The US President separately commented on the conflict in Gaza.
— The people of Gaza deserve an end to the violence and a chance to return to normal life. The only way out for Hamas is to release the hostages, including American citizens, to stop the fighting and provide humanitarian aid, Biden said.
The head of the White House stressed that the United States, together with Turkey, Egypt, Qatar, Israel and other countries, will continue to work to achieve a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
