The IDF has completed the capture of the western part of Gaza City, clearing all Hamas militants.
This was stated by Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
He said the IDF had discovered “important findings” at Al-Shifa Hospital and was moving on to the “next phase” of the ground operation.

However, he did not specify what exactly was found in the hospital.
“The operation is ongoing, and it is being carried out precisely, selectively, but very, very decisively. The next stage has begun,” Gallant emphasized.
Two days ago, the Israel Defense Forces said that Hamas militants may have been holding hostages at the Ar-Rantis Children's Hospital in the Gaza Strip. A lot of weapons were found in her basement, including explosive belts, grenades and RPG rockets.
Israel previously agreed to a partial ceasefire in Gaza to allow people to leave the war zone.
