Is Russia ready for a “war for a decade”: what does the head of Ukrainian intelligence say

by alex

One of the most common assumptions is that Russia is ready to fight Ukraine for decades. Kirill Budanov suggested this thesis.

During the interview, the head of the GUR MO, Kirill Budanov, was categorical. Before, he said that Ukraine would not agree to any truce with Russia. He also shared his opinion about whether a “war for a decade” awaits us.

Russia is not ready for a long war

Earlier, Kirill Budanov noted that Ukraine would not agree to a “deep or long-term” truce. According to him, it is simply impossible. Moreover, this will not happen, he categorically stressed. At the same time, the head of Ukrainian intelligence noted that “Russia is not ready for long-term military operations.”

I am already telling you this as the head of an intelligence agency. They show in every possible way that they are ready there, “a war for a decade”, but in fact their resources are quite limited. Both in time and volume. And they are well aware of this,” Budanov emphasized.

The head of the GUR MO specified that the next three months would not be decisive. They are more likely to be quite active. And it is on them that the further course of events will depend. We are expecting active hostilities. And during this period of time , dynamics will be observed both on the part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the enemy. Moreover, it will be observed both in the Donbass and in the South.

What is the situation at the front now

  • Updated information about the situation at the front in the evening summary of the General Staff of February 27. It noted that the offensive actions of the occupiers are concentrated in the Kupyansky, Limansky, Bakhmutsky, Avdeevsky and Miner directions.
  • It is known that the invaders continue to transfer their fighters to the front line. The department noted that up to 200 conscripts from the Rostov region were sent to the temporarily occupied territory of the Luhansk region.
  • It is not surprising, because the enemy continues to suffer insane losses. As of the morning of February 27, 148,690 invaders had been destroyed. And over the past day, 560 fighters have joined the ranks of the “200th”.
