The General Staff reported that purposefully people do not turn off the lights in their houses during an air raid. Only military personnel adhere to this recommendation.

At the beginning of the war, Ukrainians turned off the lights in their homes at night, because residential areas were constantly shelled.

According to the General Staff, the enemy cynically and purposefully violated international humanitarian law, so rockets flew into the houses and there were shelling.

In order to protect themselves, some people still turn off the lights in their houses. But no one does it on purpose. The Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Emergency Service noted that people themselves must make a decision (to turn off the light or not – ed.), – the General Staff reported.

At the same time, the department noted that the military adhere to the recommendations in wartime turn off the lights at the facilities.

The General Staff added that the country is still at war and no one is safe if there are rocket attacks or air bombardments.

By the way, the invaders launch drones over Kharkov region for reconnaissance. One such was shot down on the night of April 11th. Oleg Sinegubov, chairman of the Kharkiv OVA, considers the Izyum direction the most critical point in the region.
