The self-proclaimed president of Belarus no longer even hides his participation in the war against Ukraine. However, is he ready for a full-scale offensive? Analysts suggest that the Belarusians are not ready to attack Ukraine from the north.
Advisor to the head of the President's Office Alexei Arestovich also commented on his own opinion about the possible threat to Belarus. He discussed this topic during a stream with human rights activist Mark Feigin.
He says that Lukashenka's latest statements are a combination of a performance with a Russian special operation.
They have already begun to work out the training manual on February 24, at which everyone laughs, they say “Belarus will attack at night”, and “Belarusian DRGs are already in Ukraine.” It's all nonsense. I would like to officially state that Belarus is absolutely not ready in any way,” Arestovich said.
The adviser to the head of the Presidential Office named several reasons that testify to this:< /p>
- firstly, they took a large amount of ammunition to Russia, according to some sources – more than 100 thousand,
- secondly, they spent a lot of resources in their latest exercises, in particular fuel,
- thirdly, the Belarusian army does not want to do this at all.
“Also, Belarus is not ready for mobilization, the military has no weapons, uniforms, etc. But the main thing is that they do not want to fight. Lukashenka is “viciously” twisting his mustache to show Putin some kind of then readiness,” Arestovich emphasized.
According to him, there are practically no Russian soldiers in Belarus. We have only a small number of operators of these Iranian drones and their guards, but these are dozens of people, not even hundreds. ? According to Arestovich, Lukashenka agreed because Putin demanded it.
The adviser to the head of the Presidential Office added that there is no Russian military in Belarus, so attack soon they definitely won't. But they will still promise and threaten.
However, there is also bad news – within a month, Russia can bring a group of 15-20 thousand mobilized to Belarus to stand on the border and threaten us so that we do not predict their troops in other directions. – Arestovich assured.

According to him, under certain conditions, Putin can even steal troops directly to Kyiv without equipment and weapons.
“We will kill them all, but they can still go to drag the troops. Such history may be, but it will be a tragedy for the most mobilized,” he explained.
Arestovich called on the Russians to avoid war, because Belarus is a foreign country. “And if you cross the border with Ukraine, then surrender to the Armed Forces of Ukraine , we will protect you and even cover you, so no one will know that you are a prisoner,” he summed up.
< p dir="ltr">By the way, according to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Russia is trying to drag Belarus into the war against Ukraine, but self-proclaimed President Lukashenko wants to avoid this. He is ready to give Russia all the forces that he has, only not to directly enter into an open war.
NSDC Secretary Aleksey Danilov noted that there are few people in Belarus who want to fight against Ukraine. There are almost no real Belarusians who want to fight with us. They understand our attitude and attitude,” he stressed.
