During the Russian attack on Ukraine on the night of July 25, three “Shahed” crossed the border of Romania, and fragments of one of them are there finally found. NATO responded to this incident.

The North Atlantic Alliance was concerned about this. But they said that it was not a “deliberate attack” on NATO territory.

“Russia's actions are irresponsible”

A NATO official said that in light of the latest Russian attacks against Ukraine near the Alliance's borders, monitoring and surveillance measures have now been stepped up, including air patrols.

He also added that Russian drones crossing NATO borders are potentially dangerous. However, the Alliance does not see any deliberate actions by Russia in this.

Although NATO has no information that would indicate a deliberate attack by Russia on the territory of the Alliance, these actions are irresponsible and potentially dangerous, – the NATO representative said in a comment.

We will add that this time the Romanian government responded to the incident and resolutely condemned these irresponsible actions of the Russians. After all, such an incident had already happened before, but the Romanian leadership denied that the Shahed had crossed their border.
