On September 5, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported the dismissal of Iryna Vereshchuk from the post of Deputy Prime Minister — Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine.
Now, as Iryna Vereshchuk herself announced, she should become Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

Biography of Iryna Vereshchuk
Iryna Vereshchuk — candidate for mayor of Kyiv in the 2020 local elections, was born in the Lviv region in the border town of Rava-Ruska. There she studied at a local boarding school.
From 1997 to 2006 studied at the Military Institute at the Lviv Polytechnic in the specialty International Information (international information specialist, referent-translator, tactical-level military command officer) and at the Law Faculty of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.
After that, she completed an internship at the Cabinet of Ministers Secretariat and was included in the personnel reserve of employees.
Iryna Vereshchuk She served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine for 10 years in officer positions. There are no details regarding her place of service or duties. It is unknown why and when she left the service.
In 2011, she entered the graduate school of the Lviv Regional Institute of Public Administration of the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine, from which she graduated with honors.
In 2015, Iryna Vereshchuk received her scientific degree — candidate of sciences in public administration. Her dissertation was on the topic of organizational and legal mechanisms for improving the administrative-territorial structure of Ukraine, based on the example of Poland.
Until 2016, she studied at the Lech Kaczynski National School of Public Administration in Warsaw.
Iryna Vereshchuk's political career
Iryna Vereshchuk began her political career after leaving the Armed Forces of Ukraine. From 2007 to 2008, she worked as a lawyer in the city council of Rava-Ruska.
In 2010, she became deputy head of the Zhovkva District State Administration for humanitarian issues and foreign policy.
In October 2010, 30-year-old Vereshchuk was elected to the post of mayor of Rava-Ruska from Serhiy Tigipko's Strong Ukraine party and received the title of the youngest female mayor in Ukraine.
As mayor of Rava-Ruska, Iryna Vereshchuk spoke about the need to decentralize power, carry out administrative-territorial reform in Ukraine, and transfer taxes to local communities.
Vereshchuk claimed that her city election campaign cost nothing, since she managed to get the position simply by going to the people.
As mayor of Rawa-Ruska, she carried out international cooperation, in particular with the Polish city of Tomaszowa Lubelska, the Lubicze Korolevska commune, and the Telatyn commune. She also implemented a number of projects with EU funds, in particular, providing heat to the city's educational institutions.
In 2013-2014, after Yanukovych refused to sign the Association Agreement with the EU, Vereshchuk wrote a letter to the European Parliament asking to conclude it only with the territorial community of the city of Rava-Ruska.
In 2015, she resigned from the post of mayor of the border city of her own free will.
She ran for the Verkhovna Rada of the VIII convocation as a self-nominated candidate in the snap elections on October 26, 2014 in constituency #122, but lost to Volodymyr Parasyuk, taking sixth place with 4.46% support.
From April 2016 to 2019, she was the president of the International Center for Baltic-Black Sea Studies and Consensus Practices. The center developed forms of interaction between the countries of the Baltic-Black Sea region that prevent conflicts.
In 2017, she became an associate professor of the Department of Political Science at the National Pedagogical University named after Dragomanova.
In 2019, then-Speaker of Parliament Dmytro Razumkov, with whom, as Vereshchuk says, they often crossed paths on various talk shows, invited her to join the Servant of the People party. After an interview and submitting her proposals for bills, she was invited to the party congress and received 29th place on the list.
In September-November 2019, held the post of representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, however, she resigned. She stated that she had not found a common language with then Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk.
According to some media reports, Vereshchuk could have disagreed with Honcharuk for another reason: she refused to support the opening of the land market in the first reading, since, according to her, none of her amendments were taken into account.
She ran for the post of mayor of Kyiv, but lost the election race to the incumbent mayor Vitali Klitschko.
From November 2021 to September 5, 2024, she held the post of Vice Prime Minister – Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine.
Now Irina Vereshchuk should become the relevant deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
Irina Vereshchuk's family
Irina Vereshchuk's mother worked in trade, and her father installed high-voltage lines. Her sister worked in the Armed Forces.
Vereshchuk is raising her son Oleg. Not married.
According to the declaration for 2023, Irina Vereshchuk owns 50% of an apartment (45.5 sq. m) in Lviv, is registered in her partner's service apartment (59 sq. m) in Kyiv, and lives in an apartment rented by her partner (191.9 sq. m) in Kyiv.
In addition, the partner owns five land plots (total area of 4.7 thousand sq. m) in the Kyiv, Lviv and Mykolaiv regions.
Since 2018, Irina Vereshchuk has owned a Toyota Camry of the same year release.
