In Lviv, Irina Farion died, who was assassinated on the evening of July 19 on one of the local streets.

The death of Irina Farion, who was shot the day before, became known from the Lviv OVA and the mayor of Lvov Andrey Sadovoy.
— It’s a shame, but despite all the efforts of the doctors, it was not possible to save Irina Farion. Sincere condolences to the family, friends and students of Irina Dmitrievna. The search for the attacker is still ongoing, — says a message from the head of the Lviv OVA Maxim Kozitsky.
Lvov Mayor Andrey Sadovyi noted that Irina Farion died in the hospital after an assassination attempt. The doctors did everything possible, but the injury was incompatible with life.

Irina Farion’s heart couldn’t stand it, said the head of the anesthesiology service, Natalya Matolinets.
According to the doctor, Farion was admitted to the hospital in critical condition. After the operation, she was even transferred to intensive care, but the patient’s heart stopped.
Irina Farion — what is known about the assassination attempt
After an unknown person shot at the former MP, Irina Farion was in the hospital in serious condition with a head wound.
First, investigators entered information into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Part 2 of Art. 15, part 1 art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — attempted premeditated murder.
But after the death of Irina Farion, the crime was reclassified under Part 1 of Art. 115 (Intentional murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The sanction of the article provides for punishment — imprisonment for up to 15 years.
Previously, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky responded to information about the attack on Irina Farion in Lviv.
According to him, doctors fought for Farion’s life. However, the wound turned out to be fatal.
The President emphasized that any violence deserves only condemnation and everyone who is guilty of the attack on Irina Farion must bear full responsibility.
