Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has issued an order to launch a direct strike on Israel in response to the likely assassination of a Hamas leader in Tehran.

Thus, the head of the Hamas politburo, Ismail Ghania, was killed in Iran. The country has already managed to blame Israel for everything and promised “retribution” for his death.

Khamenei ordered the attack on Israel

Referring to Iranian officials, The New York Times claims that Khamenei gave the order for the attack in response to an emergency meeting of Iran's Supreme National Security Council on the morning of July 31.

Iran and Hamas are accused of killing Ghania Israel. According to sources, it is not yet clear how “harsh” Iran's response will be. The country's military command is considering another combined attack on military targets near Tel Aviv and Haifa.

Most likely, Iran is considering a coordinated attack from their country and from other fronts where they have “allied forces” in order to achieve “maximum effect.” This includes Yemen, Syria and Iraq.

Iranian officials do not view Ghanieh's killing as an accidental death, nor as an image of their security apparatus, which indicates that anyone in Iran could be targeted and killed, local officials said.

Shortly before this, Iran's newly elected President Masoud Pezeshkian said that his country “will protect its territorial integrity, dignity, honor and pride.” At the same time, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei stressed that Iran considers it its duty to avenge Ghanieh's murder, since he was killed on their soil.
