France, Germany and the UK supported an investigation into Iranian drones in Ukraine. Iran strongly condemned such an initiative.
Iran continues to deny all accusations of selling kamikaze drones to Russia. Recently, the Air Force said that, in addition to drones, Iran will supply ballistic missiles to the occupiers. p>Iran condemned the call of France, Germany and Great Britain to the UN to investigate possible deliveries of Iranian drones to Russia. President Ibrahim Raisi said his country is now a popular potential arms exporter.
Raisi said that during his recent trips abroad, including to New York, where he was at the UN General Assembly, people approached him asking him to sell them weapons.
I asked them, “Why us? There are so many other countries.” They replied: “Yours is the best,” said the President of Iran.
However, he did not specify what weapons he was offered to sell and who contacted him. Raisi believes that the popularity of Iranian weapons has angered his enemies, as if they do not want Iran to develop and conquer markets.
“Let the enemy get angry and die of anger,” the Iranian leader said.
In turn, the representative of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Kanaani, believes that the call for an investigation was “false and unfounded”, therefore the country condemns and rejects it.“The government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, seeking to protect its national interests and protect the rights of the noble Iranian people, reserves the right to respond to any irresponsible actions. Velo will not hesitate to protect the interests of the Iranian people,” Kanaani said.
Please note Attention! The letter, signed by the representatives of France, Britain and Germany at the UN, says that the countries support Ukraine's call to investigate the supply of Iranian kamikaze drones to Russia. The use of such drones violates UN Security Council Resolution 2231.
Russia uses Iranian drones in the war against Ukraine
- Russian invaders use Iranian kamikaze drones Shahed-136 in the war against Ukraine. However, they are labeled as “Geranium-2”.
- This is not recognized in Russia. In particular, on October 18, Vladimir Putin's speaker Dmitry Peskov cynically stated that Moscow allegedly uses only Russian-made equipment in Ukraine.
- However, 2 days later, the European Union imposed sanctions against Iran for selling kamikaze drones to Russia. The restrictions will apply to organizations that supply drones to the occupiers.
