In reality, Iran's interest in this case is small. Also, the Hezbollah leader called the war between Hamas and Israel a “Palestinian project,” explaining that he supports it, but nothing more.

“Hamas immediately reacted, saying that it was disappointed by Hezbollah’s statement and that their “just fight” was not supported. This suggests that Iran does not want to involve Hezbollah only if its own existence is threatened,” the ex-ambassador explained.

The American warning obviously did not go unheeded. Iran may verbally “snarl”, but they will not become more active in the war between Hamas and Israel.

Blinken's foreign visits: what we know

• On Sunday, November 5, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken made an unannounced visit to Iraq. Blinken said the conflict in the Middle East should not be allowed to expand. The US Secretary of State also called attacks by Iranian-backed militias on American personnel unacceptable.
• Blinken stressed that the United States is ready to respond to any threat that comes before it. In particular, they talked about Iranian proxy attacks.
• The last stop on the trip to the Middle East was Türkiye. Antony Blinken arrived there on Monday, November 6. There he met with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. No official statements were made after the meeting.
