The United States of America has responded to the possible transfer of ballistic missiles from Iran to Russia. They have threatened Tehran with consequences.

Iran does not officially acknowledge the transfer. The country's Defense Ministry insists that they are neutral and do not support any of the warring parties. But a member of the Iranian parliament's National Security Committee openly admitted that Russia receives drones and missiles from them. In exchange, Iran receives soybeans and corn.

The United States promises consequences for Iran

We are extremely concerned about this information. We have made it clear to our G7 partners that we are prepared to take actions that could lead to serious consequences, said Deputy Spokesman for the US Department of State Vedant Patel at a briefing.

However, he did not elaborate on what measures he had in mind.

What the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry is saying about the transfer of Iranian missiles to Russia

On September 9, the Foreign Ministry summoned Chargé d'Affaires of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Ukraine Shahriyar Amuzegar, to whom the Ukrainian side expressed deep concern over reports of possible supplies of ballistic missiles by Iran to the Russian Federation. The Iranian diplomat was given a comment from the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, which the department made on September 7. According to the ministry's report, the diplomat was spoken to harshly. He was warned that “confirmation of the fact that Iran has supplied ballistic weapons to an aggressor state will have devastating and irreparable consequences for Ukrainian-Iranian bilateral relations.”
