“Yes, our nuclear facilities were heavily damaged. That’s for sure, because (they, — Ed. ) were repeatedly attacked,” he said.
Baghaei said he had nothing more to add on the issue because it was a “technical” matter. He said the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran and other relevant agencies were looking into the matter.
Axios correspondent Barak Ravid has released a document containing the findings of the Israel Atomic Energy Commission that the White House sent to the media.
It says the US strike on the Fordow nuclear facility destroyed critical infrastructure and disabled a uranium enrichment facility.
“We believe that the US strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities, combined with Israeli strikes on other elements of Iran's military nuclear program, have set back the country's ability to develop nuclear weapons for many years,” the commission said.
On Sunday, June 22, US Air Force bombers struck Iranian nuclear facilities.
The strikes targeted two major uranium enrichment centers, the Fordow site and the Natanz plant, which Israel had previously attacked with less powerful weapons.
