Russian killers continue to shell the Sumy region. They are raiding the border areas.
This was reported by the operational command “North”.
“At about 17:20 – 17:45 eyewitnesses recorded approximately 30 explosions (parishes, preliminary mortar) in the Boyar-Lezhachiy area. There are no losses among personnel and equipment,” the military said.
Previous Attacks
At noon on May 29, the Russians fired at the Sumy and Chernihiv regions from their territory. There were 12 explosions in total. The head of the Sumy regional military administration, Dmitry Zhivitsky, noted that there were no casualties in the Sumy region. Border guards counted 20 explosions. The ammunition was supposed to hit in the direction of Boyaro-Lechachev.
Arestovich about the plans of the Russians
A freelance adviser to the head of the President's Office Alexei Arestovich noted that, despite the danger of shelling, the Russians would not storm the region. The invaders also attack with artillery, aircraft and missiles. Their goals are border settlements and infrastructure.
“They don't repeat this stupidity, because Sumy residents are like that – they have studied well in the previous period,” Arestovich believes.
Getting ready for an attack
Despite this, the border guards are preparing for a possible Russian offensive again. Since the invaders are increasing the number of troops and equipment near the border.
Sergey Khomenko, a unit commander patrolling the border, noted that an anti-tank ditch guarded the border earlier, but now the territory is mined. He believes that the border will never be the same.
Kindergarten and Church Gates
On May 28, the invaders fired unguided rockets from an aircraft at two settlements in the Sumy region. The rockets damaged the local church, a kindergarten and several private houses. In addition, a rocket hit the road.
A woman was injured as a result of the shelling. She was hit by debris from a rocket that hit her leg. During the shelling, the victim was in her yard.
