Russian military commissariats received instructions on the mass conscription of residents of the Moscow and Leningrad regions. In particular, this applies to Moscow and St. Petersburg.
This was reported in the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Thus, the “Muscovites” and “St. Petersburg” called up during the covert mobilization will be completed by military units stationed in the occupied Crimea.
How the Russians plan to strengthen the defense of Crimea
It was decided to send 1,200 conscripts to Crimea. This is due to the goal of understaffing Russian military units stationed in the temporarily occupied Crimea defense of the Crimean peninsula. This situation is taking shape against the backdrop of depletion of the mobilization potential of the main “donors” of the war against Ukraine – Buryatia, Tuva, the republics of the Caucasus and other disadvantaged regions. Therefore, the Kremlin is forced to become more active in the central regions.
“The basis of mobilization activities is a broad advertising campaign containing campaigning on the main TV channels, radio, the Internet and print media. Men of military age are invited to sign contracts of “volunteers” for a period of 3 -x up to 12 months,” the message says.
