A Russian fighter jet attacked a pair of aircraft of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with two missiles. But they dodged the blow.
The enemy plane tried to destroy the Ukrainian fighter and attack aircraft. This was reported in the operational command “South” on June 22.

An enemy fighter fired two guided air-to-air missiles at a pair of our aircraft. The attack aircraft and the fighter masterfully dodged the blow. There are no losses, the message says.
Situation in the South during the day on June 21
The situation in the South is stably tense, but under control. The enemy continues to conduct hostilities. From time to time, it delivers rocket strikes in combination with multiple launch rocket systems or artillery attacks.
Thus, on the morning of June 21, the Russians attacked Nikolaev and Ochakov with cruise missiles at the same time.
The invaders fired at residential areas of Nikolaev multiple launch rocket system “Hurricane”. One of the cassettes exploded right in the courtyard of a private house. There were two men there. One – died on the spot, the other – was injured.
A few hours later, multiple launch rocket systems were prepared for Ochakov, and they were wounded. A little later, strategic aviation launched 4 missiles in the water area and berths of the port. There were no casualties.
In addition, the invaders fired at the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Nikolaev region. They delivered 2 air strikes by helicopters. There are no losses.
The success of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the South
The Ukrainian military is holding strong positions and defending Ukraine, no matter what. Enemy attempts to reconnoiter our positions in the Nikolaev region were interrupted by the precise work of the anti-aircraft missile unit. In total, on June 21, rocket-artillery and other units completed 150 fire missions. Ukrainian aviation at that time attacked the Russians 5 times.
Enemy losses in the South are:
- 49 Russian invaders;
- 2 Msta-S self-propelled howitzers;
- 1 tractor;
- 1 electronic warfare station;
- 1 ammunition train;
- 5 units of armored and automotive vehicles.
