< p _ngcontent-sc181="" class="news-annotation">General Sergei Surovikin commanded the occupying forces for several months until he was replaced by Valery Gerasimov. The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense says that the previous commander of the invaders managed to carry out at least one successful operation.
Andrey Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate, spoke about this on the air of the national telethon. The official thus assessed Surovikin as the commander of the occupying troops.

Andrey Yusov said that the most successful operation of the occupying forces during the invasion of the command of Sergei Surovikin was the so-called “evacuation” from Kherson. This escape of the occupiers, which the Kremlin called “retreat to more advantageous positions to save the lives of civilians”, unlike the flight from the Kharkiv region or from the North (the first “gesture of good will” in the spring of 2022), was more organized.
The representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense is convinced that if the invaders carried out more such “operations”, then it would be better than their own day.
If Surovikin continued to do just such actions, then it would be the best solution for the occupiers,” Yusov stressed.
Important! Whatever the occupiers say, inventing the reasons for the defeat in the Kherson region, the reality is simple – thousands of fire missions and months of work of our soldiers gave such a result. Ukrainian defenders and defenders attacked Russian targets on the right bank, destroyed enemy logistics, which led to the fact that the enemy simply could not hold the right bank of the Kherson region. The excuse of “saving civilian lives” is a pathetic farce, because now the Russians are shelling Kherson and other settlements near the Dnieper several times a day, terrorizing the local population.
