In particular, the Department of Legal Support of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the period 2016-2021 paid due attention to gender equality issues, as a result of which the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine adopted an action plan for the implementation of Resolution 1325, in which gender issues of the entire vertical structure of the military command and control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine – from the highest headquarters to the lowest, as well as in the system of recruitment and military education. Integrating gender issues into the education and training system, which contributed to raising gender awareness of all military personnel and encouraging women to actively participate in training.
