An official investigation is being conducted into a traffic accident involving a serviceman of the TCC and SP in Zvenigorodka, Cherkasy region.

It is noted that on June 19, the driver of a Volkswagen Passat on Vyacheslav Chornovola Street hit a 54-year-old cyclist and fled the scene. The woman was hospitalized with bodily injuries.

The driver's identity and location have been established. The man was detained and notified of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 286-1 and 135 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The man faces three to eight years in prison.
The court is deciding on the choice of a preventive measure. The pre-trial investigation continues.
Cherkasy OTCC and SP provides the necessary information to the national police authorities for the purpose of punishing the serviceman.
The TCC offered sincere apologies to the victim and wished her a speedy recovery.
