The situation in the Zaporizhzhia direction remains difficult, but active hostilities are not taking place. The enemy continues to prepare for the offensive.
The situation on the Zaporozhye Front
The command of the defense forces of the region noted that the invaders are trying to dig deeper in occupied territories. At the same time, they are regrouping troops, increasing the number of personnel and improving the provision of units.
Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine actively respond to the invaders and destroy their drones. In the period from May 20 to 23, the Ukrainian military destroyed 8 enemy Orlan-10 drones, as well as one Su-25 aircraft.
In addition, Russian troops fired at the positions of Ukrainian troops along the line of collision with a full range of weapons in the area of settlements: Orekhov, Temerovka, Malinovka, Novodanilovka, Belogorye, Olgovskoe, Volshebnoe, Krasnoye, Novoselka, Zheleznodorozhnoye, Gulyaipole, Vremya, Free field, Preobrazhenka.
The main forces and means of the invaders continue to concentrate in the areas of Orekhov, Gulyaipol and Velyka Novoselka of the Donetsk region. At other lines along the line of demarcation, containment actions are being carried out. Russian terrorist troops continue to cynically violate the norms of International Humanitarian Law and the rules of warfare, the command noted.

The Ukrainian military noted that in the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, there is an increase in the number of so-called “okmendaturs”. Infidels also carry out intimidation of representatives of legitimate local authorities, institutions and organizations, their families, in order to create pro-Russian administrations in the occupied cities.
Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs Vadim Denisenko, on the air of a joint broadcast, noted that the infidels want to build on these territories civil-military administration. But they are still unable to establish a normal, peaceful life.
Moreover, after all the incidents like those that happened in Energodar, when the local Gauleiter exploded, they decided to build a structure of something average between the FSB, the police and the military registration and enlistment office. Traitors of Ukraine lead to this law enforcement agency under the strong leadership of the FSB,” the adviser noted.
According to him, this occupying agency includes mainly Ukrainian collaborators with a criminal record, they are engaged in racketeering and business appropriation.
