Which NMT subjects did applicants pass best in 2025?
Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Oksen Lisovyi emphasized that even in the conditions of war, current applicants from all over the country, including frontline territories, demonstrated high activity in passing the tests, strong motivation and a decent level of results in the overall competition.

The results of 13 of the 17 main sessions of the national multi-subject test NMT-2025 are now known, this is more than 218 thousand participants (the results of the remaining sessions will be published later).
According to the data, the highest results were shown by knowledge of mathematics. It was in this subject that there was the largest number of 200-point students, there are currently 1163 such participants.
11.7% of applicants failed the math test; last year this figure was higher – 14%.
In which subjects did applicants most often receive 200 points?
The Ministry of Education and Science reports that 2,414 applicants scored 200 points in at least one subject.
Of these, 250 passed two subjects with the maximum score, 31 participants passed three subjects, and three had 200 points in four subjects.
Among the subjects that applicants performed best in, besides mathematics, are:
- English language – 765 maximum results;
- Ukrainian language – 658 participants received 200 points.
In which subjects did applicants fail tests in 2025?
Among the elective subjects, physics turned out to be the most difficult for applicants. The Ministry of Education and Science reports that 10% of participants failed the assignments.
The following also failed to meet the threshold score:
- in chemistry – 6% of participants;
- in Spanish – 4.5% of participants.
It is worth noting that the number of NMT participants who choose these subjects is not very large, so the assessment scale is more sensitive.
The Ministry of Education draws attention to the fact that applicants who were unable to overcome the threshold score of the NMT in individual subjects still have a chance to enter colleges or vocational schools.
Ukraine is in dire need of skilled workers, in particular mechanics, builders, agricultural specialists and junior medical personnel. These professions are in demand in the modern labor market and are critical for the restoration of the state.
