Russia cannot mobilize enough people. The Main Intelligence Directorate under the Ministry of Defense noted that the occupiers could additionally attract no more than 300-350 thousand men.
Currently, the Russian occupation army has 200 thousand people. Defense Express expert Ivan Kirichevsky told about this for Channel 24.
“Obviously, those who were forcibly mobilized from the temporarily occupied Donbass or Kadyrov's people are not counted. The figure of 350,000 is quite powerful. On the other hand, when Mr. Skibitsky (Vadim Skibitsky, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate – Channel 24) modeled an extreme scenario that these 350,000 should be collected,” – said the expert.
Where can Russia get military from
According to Kirichevsky, the occupiers will be able to increase their army if they take everyone from Syria, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Armenia and the countries of Central Asia. He said that the Russians have such a thing as a military base. This formation is like a reinforced brigade. If the occupiers try hard, they can recruit a maximum of 5 such reinforced brigades.

But the remaining 300 thousand people – this is when the Russians want to disband their railway troops, parts of the anti-sabotage struggle under the strategic missile forces, the protection of airfields, arsenals and other auxiliary units. Our intelligence is modeling that if the Russians want to take out all their soldiers who are still there, they can recruit 300-350 thousand people.
Russia will not be able to do this, otherwise there will be a situation when there will be no soldiers left on its territory.
What to do with cannon fodder
Occupiers can mobilize unprepared people. However, as Kirichevsky noted, this will not give them any result in the war.
“On the one hand, this can exhaust us, and on the other hand, our troops can hit the enemy with less resources. If our fighters fought against the mobilized army of Russia, then this would significantly complicate the situation for us, but when you have to fight against a cannon, you still need less effort to destroy,” the expert believes.
