Russian occupation forces capture civilians in the north of Volchansk in the Kharkov region, where active hostilities are currently taking place.
This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klimenko on Thursday, April 16. The official also said that the first executions are known.

According to Klimenko, until today the police were still able to evacuate locals from there, however, now the Russian military, who were trying to gain a foothold in the city, do not allow civilians to leave — instead they are kidnapped and held in basements.

The Minister added that investigators of the National Police of Ukraine in the Kharkov region began criminal proceedings on violations of the laws and customs of war.
In addition, Klimenko noted that despite the intense military clashes, police evacuation groups continue to work in Volchansk and are trying to ensure further evacuation of people.
Recall that on the morning of May 10, Russian terrorists tried to break through the defenses of Ukraine near Volchansk, Kharkov region. The Ministry of Defense noted that Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy attacks.
