Irina Venediktova said that a serviceman will be tried for the brutal murder of a civilian husband and sexual abuse of his wife 239- of the 90th Guards Tank Vitebsk-Novgorod Division of the Russian Armed Forces Mikhail Romanov .
The Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, together with the Security Service of Ukraine, as part of the investigation, managed to establish that a Russian in March 2022, during the occupation of the Brovarsky district, broke into a private house in one of the villages and shot the owner.

The Prosecutor General noted that Mikhail Romanov is currently outside the territories controlled by Ukraine, assured that he will not be able to avoid a fair trial and responsibility before the law for the crimes committed.
