A large-scale accident occurred in the Mukachevo region. As a result of a collision between a minibus and a truck, 4 people were killed.

This was reported on February 20 by the State Emergency Service of the Transcarpathian region.

“Near the village of Nizhniye Vorota, Mukachevo district, local rescuers eliminated the consequences of a horrific car accident, as a result of which four people, including one child, died. Another person received polytrauma,” the State Emergency Service wrote.

Details of the accident

The tragedy occurred at 11:58 on the Kyiv-Chop highway. A Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van collided with a Renault truck. The cause of the accident is not yet known.

Rescuers got the injured driver out of the cab of the truck. Doctors gave him first aid. Subsequently, employees of the State Emergency Service released the bodies of the dead from the minibus. Law enforcement officers are investigating all the details of the accident.

Another accident with a truck

In the Lviv region on February 19, on the Kyiv-Chop highway, a truck collided with a Renault Megan. A 33-year-old woman with an 8-year-old child was in the passenger car. The driver received multiple fractures, and the child suffered a closed craniocerebral injury and polytrauma.
