In the Khust district territorial center for recruitment and social support, a man tried to commit suicide.
Suspilny was informed about this in the press service of the Transcarpathian territorial acquisition center.
According to the TCC, on March 13, a man was detained by representatives of the State Border Service while attempting to illegally cross the border.

Later, the border guards took him to the military registration and enlistment office to clarify his military registration data.
— While staying on the territory of the RTCC and joint venture, the citizen went into the toilet, where after some time he was found by a representative of the Khust RTCC and joint venture. The man was sitting on the floor with traces of blood and cuts on his hands, — the message says.
The department noted that the military provided emergency pre-medical care, called the police and “ambulance”, which took the man to the Khust hospital.
Doctors recorded a suicide attempt. An internal investigation into this fact is currently underway, the press service added.
What the police say
As the press service of the Transcarpathian police reported in a comment to hromadske, upon the fact of the appeal, criminal proceedings have been opened under Art. 120 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — driving a person to suicide or attempted suicide.
According to the girlfriend of the injured guy, border guards kidnapped him from a hotel in Vinogradiv, in Transcarpathia, and then began accusing him of trying to cross the border.
Then the man was allegedly taken to the TCC in Irshava, and from there — to the Khust TCC. Subsequently, according to the victim’s girlfriend, the family learned that he was in intensive care.
According to the man, law enforcement officers saw him being beaten by TCC workers, but said that they could not enter the military registration and enlistment office premises.
At the same time, the police called “untrue” statements that police were present during the beating of a man by TCC representatives.
Similar scandals with TCC
In September 2023, a scandal erupted after videos of beaten men of military age were published.
As it turned out, in the building of the Sambir TCC in the Lviv region four men detained at the border while trying to leave Ukraine were illegally detained.
One of the victims was illegally kept in the military registration and enlistment office for 10 days, two citizens — 7 days, fourth — 2 days.
The hostages were beaten by a military driver under the control of the deputy head of one of the departments of the Sambir TCC.
The fate of the two military registration and enlistment offices will be decided through a trial.
In addition, according to the State Bureau of Investigation, on the evening of October 6, 2023 in the center of Ternopil a soldier and other military personnel stopped a local resident to check his documents.
Later, the man was asked to go to the TCC, and after refusing, he was forced into the car, hitting him in the process.
Then he and another mobilized soldier were beaten in the military registration and enlistment office.
A preventive measure was chosen for both military men — night house arrest. They are also removed from their positions.
