In the US, White House officials conferred with defense industry executives for nearly five hours regarding support for Ukraine.
In particular, during the meeting convened by National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan on January 8, they discussed how to effectively use innovative American equipment to support Ukraine.

- Skydio Inc. (produces drones and methods to combat them).
At the meeting, in particular, they discussed how to use mine clearance technologies, unmanned aerial systems and other products to counter drones and other weapons systems used by the Russian Federation for attacks on Ukraine.
Attendees gathered to prepare the US defense industrial base for both the immediate needs of Kyiv and any future conflicts or critical zones.
According to one of the White House officials, the purpose of the meeting was to help Ukraine overcome “key technological challenges that are hindering progress and initiative on the battlefield”.
Aid from the US since the beginning of the full-scale invasion
According to the administration, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, the United States has provided assistance to Ukraine amounting to about $44.3 billion.
In December, the United States announced the allocation of $250 million in weapons and equipment to Ukraine, calling on Congress to resume aid in 2024.
