On Wednesday, July 3, in the American state Arkansas there was an explosion at a defense plant. Two people are known to have been injured and another person missing.

An explosion occurred at the General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems plant in Camden, approximately 138 kilometers south of the state capital, Little Rock.

The explosion occurred around 8:15 am. The company initially called it a “pyrotechnics incident” but later confirmed it was an explosion.

We are currently working with responders and can confirm that at least two people were injured and another person was missing as a result of the incident, the company said in a statement.

The company added that it is cooperating fully with authorities as they conduct their investigation. They also promised to provide more information when it becomes available.
