On March 15, 2022, during the evacuation of the wounded, the Russian invaders detained the Taira at a checkpoint in the village of Mangush (15 kilometers from Mariupol). Note that the volunteer had the status of a civilian, but this did not stop the invaders.

In May, the Associated Press published a video from the chest chamber of a paramedic in Mariupol. It was taken before she was taken prisoner.
