At the time of the missile attack, an air alert was announced in the Poltava region. But the mall continued to work.

The head of the Poltava regional military administration, Dmitry Lunin, on the air of the United News telethon, said that the institution could not work during the air raid. And people had to leave his premises. At the same time, there was a shelter opposite.

“In general, this is the correspondence of the head of the institution, why people stayed in the shopping center. And this is the responsibility of people, because in four months we already see that people have relaxed, and not go to shelters,” said Dmitry Lunin.

And yet, some of the visitors to the mall still followed the shelter during the announcement of the air raid alert. This is what saved their lives.

“Now we are investigating why people stayed in the mall. There was an air raid, and a large number of people really left the mall and went to shelter. This allowed them to save their lives,” said Dmitry Lunin.

Russian infidels launched two rockets at Kremenchug on Monday afternoon, June 27th. One of the missiles hit the Amstor mall when people were there.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said that at the time of “arrival” there were approximately 1,000 people in the shopping center.

“What the infidels are doing is terror against our people. This is a crime against humanity. There is no explanation why it was necessary to hit on a peaceful facility – a mall. There is nothing nearby, neither military nor strategic facilities,” said Dmitry Lunin.

After the strike, a large-scale fire with an area of more than 10,000 square meters broke out in Amstor. As of the morning of June 28, the State Emergency Service units examined and dismantled fragments of building structures on 60% of the total area of the facility. 440 people (including 14 psychologists) and 70 pieces of equipment were involved in the work from the State Emergency Service.

In total, two rockets were fired at the city. One of them hit the mall, and the second hit the local stadium.

The Russian invaders fired X-22 missiles from aircraft from the territory of the Kursk region from Tu-22 M3 bombers. Enemy planes took off from the Shaikovka airfield. Analysts managed to establish the names of Russians who may be involved in a war crime.
