Marchenko on the development of river navigation in Ukraine/Odessa OVA
Maxim Marchenko – the head of the Odessa OVA – on April 6 visited the southern regions of the Odessa region. There he checked checkpoints on the border with Moldova and Romania.
Marchenko also checked the filling of humanitarian warehouses and the progress of spring field work. The head of the OVA also got acquainted with the functioning of one of the troop battalions.
In addition, Marchenko visited the Reni and Izmail commercial seaports. They specialize in the handling of general, dry bulk and liquid cargoes.
The head of the OVA recalled that the largest commercial seaports were forced to stop their work. The reason was the blocking of entry and exit to the Black Sea.
Therefore, today we discussed the need to make more active use of the opportunities of the Danube navigation, Marchenko emphasized.
The head of the UVA noted that an important time is coming for the development of inland waterways and river navigation in Ukraine.
