Ukrainians in the temporarily occupied territories do not get tired of proving to the Russian invaders that they were not invited here and are not going to live under their leadership. Thus, another patriotic rally took place today in Melitopol.

Melitopol residents took part in a pro-Ukrainian rally

Information about this appeared in local Telegram channels, Channel 24 reports. On the eve of the rally, leaflets were posted on the streets of the city calling to come out and explain to the invaders that Melitopol is Ukraine.

The authors of these leaflets argued why Melitopol residents should go to the rally. Among them:

  • “Because my children should live freely, fearlessly and without Russian tyranny”,
  • “For every occupier to feel the ground burning under their feet.”

According to the Ria-Melitopol telegram channel, the rally was organized by the Yellow Ribbon patriotic movement. The invitations indicated the date and time, but there was no information about the venue of the rally. Therefore, many people who wanted to express their position simply did not know where to go.

However, several dozen Melitopol residents did gather in a local park. “Armed” with patriotic symbols – flags, blue and yellow ribbons and posters, they united and even sang the national anthem.

The latest news from Melitopol

  • Not all Melitopol residents dare to protest against the occupiers, more Moreover, some support them and cooperate. The Priazovsky police department in the Melitopol district became the “people's police” and went over to the side of the enemy.
  • Meanwhile, the occupation authorities renamed the street in Melitopol, which was named after the ideologist of the Ukrainian nationalist movement Dmitry Dontsov. The invaders did not like this, and they named the street in honor of Ambassador Sudoplatov, the Soviet intelligence officer, Chekist and murderer Yevgeny Konovalets.
  • In addition, the Russians began to taxi in their cars around the city. A notable feature of their taxis is not the traditional “checkers” for this transport, but the letter Z, which is a propaganda symbol of the Russian “special operation”.
