< strong _ngcontent-sc87="">The city of Severodonetsk in the Luhansk region has become the place that the Russian invaders seek to capture. It is constantly under fire from the Russian army.

On the morning of May 24, Russian infidels continued shelling Severodonetsk, as well as Lisichanskaya nearby. At the same time, the invaders decided to adhere to the already standard practice for themselves when they shoot at civilian objects, such as residential buildings or businesses. At the same time, shelling continues both day and night.

The Azot chemical plant in Severodonetsk also fell into enemy shelling. As a result of the shelling of the plant, four people were killed. This information was announced by the head of the Severodonetsk military administration, Alexander Stryuk, on the air of the United News telethon, channel 24 reports.

He also said that as a result of enemy shelling, another person was also killed in the central part of the city near the humanitarian headquarters . She was taken there while still conscious, but she died from her wounds.

“Constant shelling leads to constant casualties, but so far we can't do anything about it,” Alexander Stryuk said.

< p>Serhiy Gaidai, the head of the Luhansk regional military administration, also reported about the death of the civilian population as a result of constant shelling of Severodonetsk. He said that the bodies of two men and women were found in one of the high-rise buildings, another Severodonetsk woman was seriously injured, but died in the hospital. In another area, two women were wounded.

In total, about 13 thousand people still remain in the city. Before the war, more than 100 thousand people lived there.

The infidels also fired at an oil refinery in neighboring Lisichansk. Whether there were casualties as a result of this shelling is still unknown. Black smoke from the factory was visible above the highway at Bakhmut.

Severodonetsk and Lysichansk remain the last major cities in the Lugansk region that are under Ukrainian control. If the invaders manage to capture them, they will be able to occupy the entire Luhansk region and enter the administrative border with the Donetsk region.

But a group of Ukrainian troops remains in Severodonetsk, leading the defense of the city. Consequently, the fighting continues on the outskirts of Severodonetsk.
