< p _ngcontent-sc138="" class="news-annotation">Due to damage to critical infrastructure as a result of Russian attacks, the whole of Ukraine must use electricity economically. In order not to load the network in vain and avoid disconnections for household users, restrictions were introduced in the Lviv region.
The Lviv region authorities made such decisions after the October 20 meeting. It addressed issues of energy security.
How restrictions in the region will work
From 18:00 on October 21, several bans were introduced on the territory of Lviv and the region. Now you can not use electricity for:
- external lighting of all types, except for lighting the road network and critical infrastructure,
- lighting outdoor advertising placed on the facades of buildings and structures, special designs.
However, there are some nuances. Thus, outdoor lighting cannot be used only during the curfew, which, as of October 21, lasts from midnight to 5 am. And the coverage of advertising is prohibited after the working hours of business entities, regardless of the organizational and legal form.
Also, on October 20, a schedule for limiting electricity consumption and a schedule for limiting power for industrial consumers were introduced.
Ask to use electricity responsibly
In the Lviv region, they urged not only entrepreneurs, but also household users to use light economically, because it is necessary to reduce the level of electricity consumption by 15% of the daily one. It is also worth limiting yourself to your usual comfort, because in this way you will be able to avoid rolling blackouts.
Pay attention! According to both Lvivoblenergo and Ukrenergo, the situation in the Lviv region is difficult, but controlled.
Head of the Lviv OVA Maxim Kozitsky gave a number of tips for this:
- entrepreneurslimit the use of electricity during peak hours for outdoor lighting from 08:00 to 11:00 and from 17:00 to 23:00;
- Industrial plants should consider switching to night-time operation;
- household users should turn on the most energy-consuming appliances between 00:00 and 05:00 and limit their use during peak hours.

Consequences of damage to critical infrastructure

- The day before, on October 20, the traffic lights on the right bank of Kyiv did not work. Moreover, with the onset of evening, there was a blackout in the capital.
- The power outage also affects the notification of an air raid. Therefore, in the Khmelnytsky region, cars with loudspeakers, as well as churches, will be involved in this.
