Its goal is to convince the Russians if they finish the occupation of Donetsk, Luhansk and Kherson regions – this can also be considered a victory.
“However, the plans have not changed and, unfortunately, they will not change further until we put an end to the issue of Putin and Russia in the form in which it exists now. The threat to the whole world, primarily the European continent, will continue to exist, “Kirill Budanov emphasized .
What are Russia's plans for the Kherson region
The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine said that Russian infidels have already tried 3 times to hold a referendum in the Kherson region. Now they have already understood that people do not leave and will not come. Even under the influence they are under now.
According to Budanov, now the Russians are doing other options that can be implemented without a referendum.
They want to call it the Kherson Tauride province. This is the territory of the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the Kherson region, – said Kirill Budanov.
“Once, in tsarist times, they recognized the Kherson province with the administrative center in the city of Simferopol. So they want to revive it” , – added Budanov.
He noted that this is one of the main options that the Russians are now working on – the accession of the Kherson region to the Crimea and joining Russia as the Taurida province. At the same time, they are not interested in people's opinion at all.
