The enemy army concentrated its main efforts in the direction of Strelechya — Liptsy and at the capture of Volchansk, with subsequent access to the White Well and the deployment of an offensive to the rear of our troops.
According to Syrsky, the enemy, in order to achieve his goal, significantly strengthened the operational-tactical group North, which included combat units of the 6th Army, 11th and 44th Army Corps.
The commander-in-chief noted that the invaders began their offensive much earlier than planned, namely when they noticed the transfer of our troops.
