Ukrainian forces have demonstrated their ability to shoot down Russian Mi-8 helicopters operating over the Black Sea using missiles launched from Magura V5 naval attack drones, and the February 1 strike suggests that Russian forces have developed a new method to try to offset the capabilities of these Ukrainian weapons, the ISW report wrote.

But Ukraine continues to use Magura V5 naval drones. On December 31, for the first time in history, the military shot down an enemy Mi-8 helicopter with a drone near Cape Tarkhankut in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
