Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs Vadym Denisenko said this on the air of the telethon . He noted that the situation in the Donetsk and Kharkiv directions remains difficult.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs understands that the Russians want to gain a foothold in the Kharkiv region in order to prevent our troops from reaching the border.
At the same time, according to Denisenko, in the Donetsk direction the invaders will concentrate on an even smaller area than previously thought.We thought that they would go to Slavyansk and Kramatorsk. But now they have focused directly on Bakhmut and Seversk. This once again confirms that they cannot fight on broad fronts on their own and will concentrate on relatively small areas, – said the adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In his opinion, the strategy of the Russians is clear – they reproach all types of weapons in our positions as much as possible. They have no other strategies.
“Right now they are concentrating on the direction of Bakhmut – Seversk. So far, to no avail, but these battles are quite tough today,” – said Denisenko.
Situation at the front: latest news
- On Slobozhansky directionthe enemy is making efforts to prevent Ukrainian troops from entering the state border. We are talking about the north and north-east of the Kharkiv region.
- There were no active operations in the Kharkiv direction, but the enemy covered settlements with fire from tanks, cannon and rocket artillery.
- The invaders carried out assault operations in the direction of Verkhnekamensky and Seversky, but the Ukrainian defenders fought back there.
- Bakhmut direction: the aggressor troops fired artillery at the areas of Yakovlevka, Soledar, Bakhmut, Pokrovsky , Bakhmutsky and Novolugansky.
- The Russians once again stormed in the direction of Pokrovsky and the territory of the Uglegorsk TPP. However, the Ukrainians inflicted losses on the enemy and he retreated.
- In the South the enemy is defending previously occupied positions and is trying to contain the counteroffensive actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Along the collision line, the Russians fired from cannon and rocket artillery and tanks along the collision line.
