In the Kramatorsk district of the Donetsk region, a rocket hit a house near which there was a crowd of people. They all came there to receive a pension.
There were casualties as a result of the hit, but everything could have turned into a greater tragedy. The head of the Cherkasy territorial community, Andriy Golovash, told the police about this on May 12.
Residents still remain in the house
In total, 6 people who were in the house attacked by the Russians were injured. One person had to be taken to the west of Ukraine for treatment.
However, despite the destruction of part of the house, residents of 10 apartments still remain there. The building is undergoing renovations. They have already managed to cover the damaged roof and closed the broken windows. However, most of the time people are forced to stay in the basement. After all, at any moment a new shelling can begin.

In the Cherkasy UTC, where it happened, the situation is extremely tense. Private households, infrastructure facilities and even schools have been damaged by constant shelling.
At the same time, people often remain without mobile communications. It interferes with a normal life and the fact that gas and electricity disappear there from time to time.
The police drove through several settlements of this front-line zone. They talked to the locals and gave out the humanitarian aid they brought. In addition, they help those who want to leave.
Families are delivered to trains and interregional buses by community transport and police cars,” the message noted.
Law enforcement officers also added that in these difficult times they always stay in touch. After all, they should provide citizens with round-the-clock support.

The President emotionally reacted to the actions of the Russians
In his May 12 address, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky once again spoke frankly about the actions of the enemy. He emphasized that the Russian generals were terminally ill. Like, it is impossible to somehow explain the orders to commit war crimes.
Russia is bombing our schools and hospitals and many other civilian objects. But this cannot even be justified by any military goals.
Russia's strategic defeat is already obvious to everyone in the world and even to those who still continue to communicate with them. It’s just that Russia doesn’t have the courage to admit it yet,” the head of state added.
At the same time, he added that Ukraine would rebuild everything. For the enemy may try, but will never destroy our state and our desire for freedom.
