According to the chairman of the Dnepropetrovsk Regional Council, the attack of the invaders caused a fire. Therefore, the destruction at the facility is large-scale. Nikolai Lukashuk urged to save energy use.
If possible, do not use energy-intensive appliances during peak hours: in the morning – from 8:00 to 11:00, in the evening – from 17:00 until 23:00,” he said.

During the morning of October 17, Russia hit the Dnipropetrovsk region twice, but at the same time, air defense forces managed to shoot down 3 missiles – 2 over the Krivoy Rog region, and 1 more over the Nikopol region. According to the chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk police department, Valentin Reznichenko, rescuers immediately began their work at the site of the impact in the Kamensky district.
He also called for the responsible use of electricity. The head of the OVA noted that this will help reduce the number of emergency shutdowns. Moreover, in this way citizens can help the energy workers who are hard at work restoring power and stabilizing the system.
