The Russian military is carrying out provocations on the border with the Chernihiv region. A criminal gang was ready to help the enemy in the event of a second invasion, which the SBU managed to expose.
They found an arsenal of Russian weapons from the attackers
The criminal cell, which was neutralized by the SBU, included three representatives of criminal circles. It is reported that the Russian special services involved them in subversive activities.
The criminals were found with weapons and equipment of the Russian special forces. Among the confiscated weapons are all Russian-made weapons. Separately:
- Vintorez silent-firing sniper rifles;
- reactive anti-tank grenade RPG-18 “Mukha”;
- silent-firing machines “Val”.

Representatives of the group kept weapons on the territory of their own households and in garages near Chernihiv. The SBU noted that during the searches, the attackers also found:
- a Dragunov sniper rifle with a silencer;
- combat fragmentation grenades;
- cartridges for small arms weapons;
- optical sights and night vision devices.

All members of the criminal cell were detained and the issue of choosing a measure of restraint is being decided.
Russian provocations in the North
- After the Armed Forces of Ukraine drove out the invaders from the North, the aggressor troops do not stop provocations in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions.
- June 2, in just a few hours, more than 20 “arrivals” were recorded in one village. For shelling, the enemy used a 120-mm mortar.
- On June 3, it was reported that the Russian military carried out a massive shelling of the border territories of Ukraine on the border between the Chernihiv and Sumy regions. The enemy shelled Ukraine with multiple rocket launchers and mortars of 120 mm caliber. In total, at least a hundred enemy missiles and mines flew from the territory of Russia.
- Speaker of the State Border Service Andriy Demchenko stated that Ukraine does not record the presence in Russia of a group that could again invade Chernihiv or Sumy regions.< /li>
