At seven in the morning on December 9, in the center of Kyiv, utility services began to dismantle the monument to Nikolai Shchors.

Before this, the protective status of the monument to the Soviet leader was removed.

The Kiev City State Administration warns about a possible temporary partial closure of traffic along Taras Shevchenko Boulevard due to the dismantling of a complex structure.

In the future, the monument will be kept in the State Aviation Museum of Ukraine named after. O. K. Antonova.
