On the night of April 23 in Ternopil, a car drove right into the Archicathedral Cathedral. The driver was a local 35-year-old female dentist.
The car rammed the gate, destroyed the doors of the temple and church property. The stripes from the wheels of the car are still visible on the floor, channel 24 reports.
A case not related to the war in Ukraine
At the same time, law enforcement agencies report that a woman had a fight with her husband, got behind the wheel and, losing control, flew into a cafe. Currently, the culprit of the accident is receiving medical assistance.
Tonight there was a situation that they are trying to present as a DRG for the temple. It's not like that, it's just a person who lost control and drove into the pulpit. Do not associate this with military operations,โ said the head of the Ternopil OVA Volodymyr Trush.
The head of the police of the Ternopil region, Oleksandr Bogomol, noted that the woman, a local resident, grossly violating traffic rules in the city center, drove into the temple.
On the fact of damage to the property of the Cathedral, criminal proceedings were initiated under Article 178 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The investigation will answer all questions in just a few days. This is not connected with armed aggression, – Bogomol noted.
Photos of the consequences of the accident and the moment of the accident have already appeared on the network.
