In Stryi, a priest of the UOC-MP was doused with green paint/Collage 24 channels
In Stryi, in the Lviv region, unidentified persons poured green paint over a priest during a divine service. The father belongs to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate, which supported Russia's war against Ukraine.
Information about the incident was spread by the priest's daughter, who did not write about the obvious reasons for such an act. It all happened on May 22.
A priest of the UOC-MP was doused with green paint
On May 22, 2022, in the Resurrection Church of Stryi, Lviv region, rector Archpriest Volodymyr Mandzyuk was poured green paint on his face right during the Divine Liturgy,” wrote his daughter Bogdana.
The woman was also indignant and wrote that this was her cry from the heart.
“What is happening in our country. This is my father, Father Vladimir, a priest of the UOC in the city of Stryi. Today, during a church service, he was shot in the face with green paint by the so-called nationalists who are seizing our churches,” Bogdana complained.
She she also listed how much the fathers of the Moscow Patriarchate allegedly “do”: “Our priests pray for our soldiers, for our country, we pray in Church Slavonic, we help in any way we can: with money, humanitarian aid.”
The priest's daughter threatened people with God: “Come to your senses, God cannot be mocked. Each of us will answer to God for everything.”
In her message, the woman did not mention that her father belongs to the church, which is subordinate to the Moscow Patriarchate.
And she didn’t write that it was the Russian Patriarch Kirill who in March 2022 blessed the fighters of the aggressor state for the war against Ukraine. Russian infidels act in Ukraine obviously not in a Christian way – they kill, kidnap, torture, rape innocent people and children.
The authorities still have not banned the UOC from belonging to the Russian Orthodox Church
Deacon of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine Ivan Petrushchak noted that until now the authorities have not banned the connection of the ROC with the “UOC” MP, and this harms both the “UOC” of the Moscow Patriarchate itself and the authorities.
Vladimir Mandzyuk suffered for the “Russian world”. Not for the Church, not for Christ, not because of love for Ukraine, but because of love for the Moscow Patriarchate,” Petrushchak explained.
He added that the Russian Church would lie that their father suffered for Christ or the Orthodox faith, but this is at least a manipulation. Ivan Putrushchak suggested that no one would offend this father if he transferred to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
