Russia and Ukraine are actively using aerial reconnaissance data for military operations, including rocket attacks or artillery shelling. In view of the desire of the Russians to capture Nikolaev, they decided to strengthen the air defense in the area.

The south of Ukraine remains an important springboard for the Russians. After all, this blocks Ukraine's access to the sea, and opens up the opportunity for the occupiers to reach Odessa and the occupied territory of Moldova – Transnistria. The Russian military leadership has already openly declared this intention.

Ukrainians are actively rebuffing the enemy in the Tavriysky and Yuzhnobuzhsky directions. Our troops effectively use drones for reconnaissance and artillery adjustment, which inflicts many losses on the Russian invaders.

To combat this, the invaders decided to strengthen their air defense system. For this, an S-300VM battery was deployed in the Skadovsk region. Among its purposes is the destruction of modern and promising aircraft of tactical and strategic aviation, radar patrol and guidance aircraft, reconnaissance and strike systems, as well as short and medium-range ballistic missiles.

In general, in the south of Ukraine, the enemy is trying to advance in the direction of the city of Nikolaev, because of which it fires at the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. A group of enemy troops is operating in the Tavriysky and Yuzhnobuzhsky directions, consisting of separate units of the 8th and 49th combined arms armies, the 22nd army corps, coastal troops of the Black Sea Fleet of the Southern Military District and airborne troops.

The enemy is focusing their main efforts on improving their tactical position and holding their positions.
