The State Duma of Russia amended the Criminal Code and the Code of Administrative Offenses. From now on, “discrediting” the Russian occupiers fighting in Ukraine can face up to 15 years in prison.

This was told by the speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin. According to him, in addition to imprisonment, violators face other types of punishment.

In particular, violators are threatened with:

  • fines up to five million rubles or in the amount of wages or other income of the convicted person for a period of up to five years,
  • or correctional or forced labor up to five years,
  • or imprisonment for up to 15 years.

According to Volodin, this legislative initiative will allegedly “protect” all the occupiers fighting in Ukraine.

According to the amendments, “any public dissemination of deliberately false information, as well as public actions aimed at discrediting the Russian armed forces, volunteer formations, organizations and persons contributing to the fulfillment of the tasks assigned to the RF Armed Forces, are unacceptable.”

Volodin noted that the second reading of the document is scheduled for March 2. And the third, final, reading is March 14.

The families of the dead Russian occupiers are given ice and firewood.

Russia never ceases to amaze with the level of support for the families of those who were sent to certain death in Ukraine. However, now in Moscow they are thinking whether they give these people too much. Such a statement was issued by Putin's plenipotentiary representative in the Urals district Vladimir Yakushev at a meeting with mobilized in the Sverdlovsk region.

According to Vladimir Yakushev, assistance to the families of those who are highly likely not to return to Russia should supposedly be non-intrusive and unnecessary. That is, the families of the mobilized should not receive too much firewood, towels or sheep. No need to spoil the Russians.
