Turkey hit Kurdish militants in response to the terrorist attack in Ankara. In particular, Turkish aviation conducted a military air operation in northern Iraq.

According to the Turkish Ministry, the operation was carried out at 21.00 on October 1. They specified the destruction of 20 targets.

“A total of 20 targets were destroyed,” the ministry said.

Turkey, commenting on its actions, noted that:

• did this in accordance with the right of self-defense, which is provided for in Article 5 of the UN Charter, in order to stop terrorist attacks and secure its border;
• took all measures to avoid damage to civilian, historical and cultural values, as well as the environment.
