In the capital of Poland, a Ukrainian woman was sexually assaulted in front of local residents. People saw it and just passed by.

The incident occurred on Monday, February 26, right in the center of Warsaw. The injured girl is 20 years old.

Details of the terrible incident

The attacker attacked the Ukrainian woman as she was returning to her apartment. The publication's interlocutor, who saw the recordings from CCTV cameras, suggested that the man had been following the girl for a long time and had watched her before.

When the young woman found herself near a residential apartment building, the man attacked at her. He put a balaclava on his victim's head, put a knife to her body, grabbed the girl and pulled her in front of the entrance gate. The attacker strangled the Ukrainian woman and tore off her clothes for several minutes, and then dragged her into a cage in a nearby high-rise building and raped her. After that, the rapist threw his victim on the stairs in front of the gate, went to the tram, throwing her things along the road, and left.

The publication writes that, according to video camera recordings, passers-by were simply passing by during the brutal rape in the center of the Polish capital. So, two girls just shouted something to the attacker, but he did not react, and they left. The other girl and the guy who was walking with her didn’t react at all.

Only the guard helped the girl. He found a naked Ukrainian woman on the stairs when he was getting ready for his morning shift. This man called an ambulance and law enforcement officers. Services arrived at the scene within a few minutes. After this, the girl was hospitalized in serious condition.

The attacker was discovered and detained within several hours. He was hiding in his apartment in an area called Mokotów. He was taken to the police station.

Law enforcement officers searched his house and found books on crime topics. A 23-year-old man was reported on suspicion of attempted murder of a woman for sexual reasons. He faces 15 years in prison to life imprisonment. The prosecutor's office requested his temporary arrest for 3 months.
