In Poland, a young girl suddenly went into labor during an excursion. It turned out. that neither her guardians nor her friends knew about the teenager’s pregnancy.
During the trip, a group of Polish schoolchildren stayed overnight in one of the sanatoriums in Zatorzhe (Lesser Poland Voivodeship”. The birth began there.
Sudden birth of a girl
Polish media write that a 13-year-old girl felt worse during her stay at the sanatorium, so she went to the bathroom – that’s where her contractions began. A sanatorium employee provided the teenager with the necessary assistance. She is now in the gynecological department of the hospital in Auschwitz, her condition is stable. The baby was taken to the University Children's Hospital in Krakow in serious but stable condition.
It is reported that no one knew about the girl's pregnancy. Polish police have launched an investigation into sexual intercourse with a person under 15 years of age. According to the country's Criminal Code, the guilty person faces imprisonment for a term of 2 to 12 years.
Investigators are now establishing who the child's father is and under what circumstances fertilization could have occurred.
Unexpected pregnancies
A similar story happened in April 2024 in the Odessa region. Doctors arrived in one of the villages in the region because of a young woman’s complaints of fever and abdominal pain. It turned out that the pain was a symptom of labor. A girl was born, whose condition was assessed by doctors as 6 points on the Apgar scale.
In Kamensky, Dnepropetrovsk region in October 2023, an identical case. A man called an ambulance for a 20-year-old girl because of abdominal pain and bloating. She was convinced that she had an exacerbation of a stomach ulcer, and even denied pregnancy. However, paramedics successfully delivered the baby and a healthy girl was born.
